It is a cosmetic procedure which is used to treat acne, various pigmentary conditions, fine wrinkles and other signs of skin aging. It not only leaves your skin brighter and smoother but also helps to even out uneven skin tone. It must be performed by a professional only to reduce the potential side-effects of a chemical peel. Peels are selected based on the type of skin the patient has and also the condition being treated.

These three conditions differ in their aetiology and are commonly confused with one another. Wart is a viral infection and is commonly seen in children. It is highly infectious and thus the possibility of having more than one patient in the same family is high. Skin tag is a benign over growth of the skin and is commonly associated with weight gain, diabetes or may just be hereditary. Mole which is called a “Nevus” in medical terminology, is a collection of the pigment cells called ‘melanocytes’. They are usually harmless but may rarely be cancerous.

All these three lesions can be easily cauterized as an outpatient procedure.

Treatment of acne includes chemical peels and intense pulse light (IPL) therapy. Acne scars can be either hypertrophic or atrophic. Depending on the type of scars, we can treat with chemical peels, dermaroller, microdermabrasion, lasers.

Various hyper pigmented conditions like melisma, post inflammatory pigmentation, freckles, nevus of Ota, macular amyloidosis, lichen planus pigmentosus and many others can be treated with chemical peels and lasers.

Depigmented conditions like Vitiligo/ Leukoderma can be treated using phototherapy, micropigmentation and various vitiligo surgeries.

Hyperhidrosis means excessive sweating which makes the patient feel uncomfortable. The condition may be generalized or localized and can be due to a variety of causes. Treatments such as Iontophoresis, Botox injectable are now available.

Keloid is a raised scar, commonly seen on the chest, shoulder, back and ear. It is due to extra scar tissue growth and extends beyond the wound margins. Not everyone has a tendency for keloid. These can be treated with intra- lesional steroid injections, cryosurgery, IPL.

Hair loss on the scalp is a very common complaint and can be due to various causes. Male pattern baldness is usually genetic and the role of hormones. This can be treated with PRP injections where hair growth will be promoted. Micropigmentation can also be tried for immediate cover up of an area.

Aging is a gradual process where sun plays a very important role and so some intrinsic factors. Signs of aging include fine lines and wrinkles, disturbance in pigmentation, dryness among many others. This can be prevented with regular treatment sessions with electroporation which infuses antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and other chemicals for an even skin tone and supple skin.

Other treatment options include PRP injections, microdermabrasion and combination of the two popularly known as “Vampire facial”, lasers and RF tightening for skin tightening, chemical peels to even out skin dyspigmentation.

Almost half of all millennials have one tattoo but not all of them are happy about their decision. Laser tattoo removal techniques can get rid of your unwanted tattoo with minimal side effects. After careful analysis of the type of ink used, the skin type etc. a Q Switched Laser treatment is suggested.

Please note that results vary from individual to individual, based on the size, color, depth of ink etc. For some patients the tattoo might be completely removed for others even after multiple sessions the tattoo though lightened might be visible.

A Carbon Peel also known as The Hollywood Laser Peel is a revolutionary laser treatment that is completely painless with minimal-to-zero downtime. A layer of liquid carbon is applied to the skin, where it penetrates deep into the pores and the laser energy explodes the carbon. It is a mildly exfoliating and resurfacing procedure that improves the appearance of fine wrinkles, pigment, pores, and acne. It is a completely painless treatment through lasers which provides instant glow and rejuvenated skin appearance.

Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a laser to remove unwanted hair. … The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
